Dahftar — Support

Dahftar is a shared shopping list and meal planner for one household. Everything below works offline, with no account, except where it says otherwise.

Do I need an account?

No. The list, shopping mode, recipes, the meal plan and the pantry all live on your phone. An account does one thing: it lets up to four people share the same live list. Sign in with Apple or Google from the pill at the top of the list.

Sharing the list with my household

Settings → Share this list and sign in with Apple or Google. Then Settings → Invite someone: the invitation is a code sent from your own phone's messaging app, and whoever enters it joins your household and sees the same list.

It says “Sign in again”

A sign-in lasts 30 days. Signing in again with the same Apple or Google account keeps your household and everything on the phone.

Moving to a new phone, or keeping a copy

Settings → Export everything saves the whole household as one file. On the new phone, Restore from a file on the same screen brings it back. If you share a list, signing in on the new phone is enough.

The subscription

One subscription covers the whole household — up to four people, on iPhone or Android, whoever bought it. Everyone else in the household is unlocked as soon as they are signed in to it.

Cancel or change plan: in the App Store or Google Play, where it was bought (Settings → Manage subscription opens it). New phone, or it says you are not subscribed: Settings → Restore purchases, signed in to the same Apple or Google Play account you paid with. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.

Deleting my account and data

In the app: Settings → Delete my account. The app shows exactly what goes before anything happens, and it happens straight away. If you are the only member, the whole household goes with it — lists, recipes, plans, pantry, purchase records and backups. If others remain, your sign-in and name are removed and the household stays with them. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.

No longer have the app? Email privacy@certopartners.com with the subject “Delete my account” and say whether you signed in with Apple or Google. We only hold a one-way hash of that sign-in, not your email address, so we will reply with how to confirm it is yours, then delete the account and its data within 30 days. Without an account nothing was ever stored by us, so there is nothing to delete.

Details are in the privacy policy.
